The Skylands Sierra Club will host a discussion of the Green New Deal, led by Skylands Group Chair Greg Gorman, on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 7:00 p.m., at Unitarian Fellowship Hall, 1 West Nelson St., Newton. All are welcome to attend free of charge.
Gorman will familiarize those present with the Green New Deal, which is a set of economic stimulus policies being considered by the U.S. Congress and other world leaders. He will discuss the proposed strategies for tackling the climate crisis, creating jobs, and fighting inequity.
In addition to serving as chairman of the local Skylands Sierra Club, Greg Gorman is Conservation Chair for the New Jersey Sierra Club Chapter.
