Animal welfare weekend at Lafayette Mill Antiques Center

    Lafayette — The Lafayette Mill Antiques Center in Lafayette will host a benefit weekend in support of two local animal welfare organizations. the weekend of May 21 and 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Outdoor exhibitors will include antiques dealers from the Mill with their excess winter accumulations and will feature two outstanding animal rescue and care organizations, the Wantage Animal Shelter, a humane municipal facility, and OSCAR, the New Jersey-based One Step Closer Animal Rescue. In addition to the adoption efforts of OSCAR and the Wantage Shelter, specialty exhibitors will include Newton’s Maxwell and Molly’s Pet Boutique, Just Like You Do, a Green Township pet care specialist and Fuzzy Nation, a Lafayette-based international pet specialty business. Refreshments will offered by the mill dealers, and antique raffles to benefit animal welfare will be conducted. Visitors who would like to donate excess or used supplies are encouraged to help fill the “wish lists” of the participants. Transport crates (wire or plastic), paper towels, dog and cat bowls, dog/puppy food, flea medications, leashes, collars, beds and bedding, cleaning supplies, plastic gloves, play pens, dog/cat treats, toys and garbage bags are always needed.
