Art exhibit features unique works at Lafayette Mill gallery

    LAFAYETTE-An art exhibit featuring 50 original works for the art minded, collector or enthusiast, will run through Oct. 30 at the new Art Gallery at the Lafayette Mill Antique Center, just off Rt. 15 at Morris Farm Rd. Among the works being shown are large, luscious, figurative nudes in oil on canvas, by James Gwynne, an award-winning artist and college-level teacher of drawing and painting or over 40 years. Tony Lordi, exhibits his “found object constructions,” ranging from the famous “Empire State Building” to the “Flying Objects” from his recent Washington Square Exhibit in Greenwich Village. “Magical and colorful” describes the post modern paintings of Keith Smith, painter and poet. who shows sensual watercolors, as well as oil on canvas, that range from three- to eight-feet tall.
