Beginners digital-SLR photography workshop

SPARTA — Do you own a DSLR (Digital-SLR) camera and are afraid to move it out of the automatic mode? Want to learn about shutter speeds, aperture, and lighting? Blessed Kateri Parish is hosting a DSLR learning workshop on Saturday, Jan. 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Blessed Kateri Church in Sparta. The workshop will be half classroom instruction and half hands-on learning. Bring your camera. Learn the settings on your camera, composition techniques, lighting and more. This is a perfect opportunity for beginners. The workshop is hosted by professional portrait photographer Cory Vincent of Cory Vincent Photography. The workshop is open to anyone with a DSLR and an interest in advancing their photography knowledge. Participants must be 16 or older to attend. Gift certificat4es for the workshop are also available. The cost is $50 and the proceeds will go towards the Blessed Kateri Youth Ministry Program.
