Boot camp for moms in its third year

Get fit, have fun and bring your kids?

It’s happening once again at Lodestar Park in Fredon this September. While moms engage in strength training, cardio, sports drills, fitness games, functional training, and more, children can enjoy a supervised play date at the park or stay close to mom as she challenges herself.

Jessica Sampieri-Griffin, mom, certified personal trainer, CrossFit L-1 coach, and owner of NJ Fit Mom, has made it her mission to make fitness attainable for moms.

What started with a handful of moms at the park now has a roster of over 50 Fit Moms.

NJ Fit Mom has not only grown in size, but in enthusiasm, challenges, and trainers.

Boot camp is not a typical group exercise class.

Moms of all ages and fitness levels receive focused training from certified personal trainers in a high energy environment. The group of women participants brings support, encouragement and motivation to make sure each member challenges themselves.

Fit Moms doesn’t end at the park. Fit moms have completed numerous races and fundraisers together, including 5k races, the Civilian Military Combine, the Jersey Girl Triathlon, Mudderella, and several Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice Fundraisers, including Burn the Bird for Hospice.

Fit mom Larissa R, said, “There’s no excuse not to exercise when you can take the kids with you. When you know they’re getting to play at the park, you feel like it’s time well spent for you and the kids.”

Another session of NJ Fit Mom Boot Camp will begin Sept. 9.
