Cameron wins Best in Show
NEWTON. The 37th annual Skylands Regional Juried Art Exhibition is on display through June 19.


Derek Cameron won Best in Show for his painting “Water, Wood and Stone” in the 37th annual Skylands Regional Juried Art Exhibition.
Awards were presented during a reception and awards ceremony May 31 at the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council gallery, 133 Spring St., Newton.
The exhibit is on display there through Thursday, June 19.
It showcases works by about 40 artists in a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, photography and digital art.
The hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Entry to the gallery is free; donations are appreciated.

• Dr. John & Katherine Bonner Memorial Award: “Their Sheer Excitement” by Joanna West.
• Trevor Hodgson Award: “Walk in the Woods” by Patrick Quirk.
• Vincent Buchinsky Memorial Award: “Golden Hour” by Linda Rossin.
• E&M Haworth Memorial Award: “The Old Barn” by Louis Cunningham.
