Come to the cabaret

| 15 Feb 2012 | 09:22

The Creative Theatre-Muddy Water Players will present the Broadway musical “Cabaret” at The Playhouse at Museum Village, located on Route 17M in Monroe. This classic musical is set in 1930s Berlin, as the romantic intrigues of several characters at a seedy nightclub play out amid the backdrop of the Nazi’s rise to power. Take your seat at the Kit Kat Club, the perfectly marvelous cabaret where singer Sally Bowles meets writer Cliff Bradshaw. As the two pursue a life of pleasure in Weimar Berlin, the world outside the Club begins to splinter. Performances will be held at 8 p.m. on Sept. 23, 24, 29, 30, and Oct. 1, with matinees at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, Saturday, Oct. 1, and Sunday, Oct. 2. Tickets are $20 and include dessert at intermission. For more information call the box office at 294-9465.
