    Stroke support group Newton -The stroke support group provides support and encouragement to stroke survivors, caregivers, family members and friends by sharing experiences and knowledge. The discussion will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, in the Rehab Lounge at Newton Memorial Hospital, 175 High St., Newton. For information, call 973-579-8620. Mixed level yoga Newton - The mixed level yoga class will meet from 7 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. on Monday nights for five weeks beginning on Nov. 21. Students will learn and practice universal principles of alignment while also cultivating compassionate awareness for themselves and others. People new to yoga are welcome, but the class is not suitable for people with major physical injuries. As with any exercise program, please consult your doctor before beginning. The program will be led by Tulasi Jordan, M.S.W. a certified yoga instructor. Participants should wear loose, comfortable clothing.Classes will be held at Newton Memorial Hospital, 175 High St., Newton. Fee, $90; pre-registration required. For information, call 973-579-8340. ‘Look good, feel better’ Sparta - This free program will particpants how to maintain their appearance while undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy treatment, including makeup, scarf and wigs. The program will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, at the Sparta Health and Wellness Center, 89 Sparta Ave., Sparta. The program is non-medical and will not interfere with medical treatments, make any medical or physical claims, or replace medical services in any way. This program is also “product neutral” and does not endorse any brand, product or salon. The certified cosmetologists are volunteers who participate free of charge. Newton- Quit smoking once and for all with the Quitcenter — a tobacco dependence treatment program that meets from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at Newton Memorial Hospital, 175 High St., Newton. Personalized assessment and treatment plans include nicotine replacement products such as the patch, gum or lozenge. Cost is $60 and includes (for a limited time) free nicotine replacement products.
