This month Dance Expression dance arts is celebrating the grand opening of its new location on 115 Route 23 north on the Wantage/Hamburg border. These larger premises will offer two dance studios and a full schedule of professionally instructed technique classes in a wide variety of dance styles. "Apart from our competition dance, we are happy now to be able to offer a bigger variety of recreational classes including, Hip Hop, Cheer Dance, Lyrical Jazz, boys only Hip Hop and pre-school classes," said Lisa Simco, director of Dance Expression dance arts. Simco, who is a Sussex County native, graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts from Adelphi University in 1976 and after ten years of professional performance experience returned to Sussex County to open her studio in 1987. "The professional performance world can be a challenge," said Simco. "I wanted to provide a studio where students would receive professional quality education in a warm and friendly environment, to build self esteem so that they can keep their perspective should the going get tough," she added. A registration and open house will take place on Aug. 23 and 25 and 30 between 10-1 and 6-8 pm. In addition to Dance and Tumble, pre-school classes and Mommy and Me classes, "Fabulous" theme birthday parties are also available. For more information, call 973-827-0367.
