Early registration open for dance program

Hackettstown — Early registration for Centenary’s Summer Dance Intensive is now being offered. Those who register before June 5 will receive 15 percent off the full registration price. Centenary Stage Company, in conjunction with Centenary College, will feature the talents of Carloyn Dorfman as the featured guest artist. She is a certified teacher of grade K-12 and holds a BFA in dance from the University of Michigan and an MFA from New York University. She has taught for schools and dance companies throughout New Jersey and the United States, including Limon Institute. In addition to Dorfman, Trista Redavid and Sarah Geroulo-Rutledge of R-2 Dance Company will do a master class in Nikolais/Louis Technique and Contact Improvisation. The program runs July 8 through 10, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with classes in ballet, yoga for dancers, modern, jazz, musical theatre dance, Chinese, improvisation and strength training. Interested participants may choose to attend the entire three day workshop, single or half days. Tuition for the entire program is $135 for the first student and $90 for the second student. Tuition for a single day is $70 and $55 for the second day. Centenary College students may attend the entire program for $50. Young Performer Workshop students may attend the entire workshop for $75.
