Eclectic blend of music featured in concert series

    Knowlton Township — WNTI Radio’s Summer Concert Series will feature its second show out of four at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 29, at the Knowlton Township Lions Club Pavilion. The concert will include performances by Boris Garcia, George Kilby Jr. and the Road Dogs, Buzz Universe and Double Chuck. Garcia, a Philadelphia-based rock/jamgrass band, recently released its third CD, “Today We Sail” (produced by Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth), and its fourth national release. Kilby and the Road Dogs has taken its music from the road-houses of the Southeast to the major music festivals of Europe. Buzz Universe is an original eclectic blend of rock, jazz, Latin and other world grooves. Buzz Universe features smoking horns and a rock-solid rhythm section. Double Chuck is a duo comprised of Chuck Ghilon on guitar and Steve Kirchuk on 7-string bass. In addition to their jam style originals, they cover songs by the Grateful Dead. At 6 p.m. Aug. 12, there will be performances by the Chaz DePaolo Blues Band and Commander Cody. On Sept. 17, the performances start with Golden Gup Happy Foot Party from noon to 4 p.m. Also performing will be Little Isidore and Ronnie Spector. All tickets cost $20. Children under 12 are free with an adult paid admission. The Knowlton Township Lions Club Pavilion is located at Route 46 in Delaware. There will be no outside coolers/food/drink allowed and food vendors are available on site. Proceeds will benefit WNTI Public Radio from Centenary College.
