Financial Planning week hits Sparta

    SPARTA-The New Jersey chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPANJ) is sponsoring National Financial Planning Week in Sparta. This free event is open to Sparta and Sussex County residents from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 4 at the Sussex County Technical School at 105 N. Church Street (Route 94) in Sparta. Refreshments and door prizes will be offered. The evening will allow interactive discussions on ways for individuals to improve their financial security utilizing the financial planning process. Nicholas Nicolette, CFP, principal of Sterling Financial Group in Sparta and national board member of the FPA, will begin the evening with a presentation explaining the benefits of financial planning. Expert panelists will also be available to answer questions. Barbara O'Neill, CFP, of Rutgers Cooperative Extension, has written many financial-related articles. Felix Mclntyre, CPA, of Mclntyre & Co., in. Sparta, will answer business and individual questions related to tax planning strategies. Basil O'Connor, Esq., of Schenck, Price, Smith & King and a resident of Sparta, is an expert in estate planning. Paige Moore, of Marsh Private Client Services and a resident of Sparta, is an expert in property & casualty protection for unique items such as yachts, vintage cars or vacation homes.
