Fish and chips dinner

    Franklin — The annual Fish & Chips Dinner at the First Presbyterian Church of Franklin is set for Saturday, Sept. 17 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Take-outs will be ready at 5:30. The dinner will be catered by Tastefully British from Kearny, famous for their Fish & Chips dinners. This dinner has been a tradition in the church for many years. In the past 400 people have been served. The menu consists of deep fried fish and chips, vegetable, coleslaw, rolls, butter, tea, coffee and homemade desserts. The men of the church cook the vegetables and the women make the coleslaw and desserts. Profit from this dinner will be used to paint the sanctuary and update the manse. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12. For tickets call the church office at 973-827-6444. Tickets must be purchased in advance so planning can be done.
