Free Monday night library programs for adults feature music, cooking

West Milford — The West Milford Township Library summer programs aren’t just for kids. All West Milford adult residents are invited to enjoy free summer events every Monday night from 7 to 8 p.m. Bring a chair and your friends and join them for a relaxing evening on the library back lawn. Sponsored by the Friends of WMTL, all programs are free, with refreshments provided, and will take place rain or shine. Inclement weather may change the location of a program, so call 973-728-2822 to confirm location. Here is the complete summer schedule: July 11 — The Kootz: Classic rock, pop and blues from the late 1950s to the 1970s. July 18 — Amelia Earhart: American Historical Theatre actor Pat Jordan portrays the inspiring pilot. July 25 — J.A.S. Trio: Jazz classics, contemporary popular selections, show tunes, and rock classics. Aug. 1 — Local Veggies: Chef Dan Frey’s delicious seasonal recipes to help make the best use of your homegrown produce. This program is limited to 50 residents so call to sign up. Aug. 8 — The Bill Noren Group: Be-bop sounds of bass, sax, guitar, and drums. Aug. 15 — Conducting Unplugged: Jeffrey Grogan, education and community engagement conductor for the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra shares his experiences and love of music.
