Golf outing to benefit Vernon’s Athletics Hall of Fame

The inaugural Vernon Township High School Athletics Hall of Fame Golf Outing will be held at Great Gorge Golf Club, 414 County Road 517, in Vernon Township on Saturday, Sept. 25.

Registration starts at noon, and tee time is 1 p.m. sharp with a shotgun start.

Participants will be playing a “scramble” format.

Friendly competition includes a “Closest to the Pin” and “Longest Drive” contest, but the fun doesn’t stop on the links. There will be a Southern barbecue-style dinner, a 50/50 drawing, and a tricky tray with prizes to win.

All proceeds will go directly to the VTHS Athletics Hall of Fame:

● Play golf (includes dinner and cart): $125

● Dinner only: $55

● Tee sign sponsors: $50

Sponsors’ names will appear on signs placed around the golf course. The names of tee sign sponsors, gift sponsors, and donation sponsors will be listed in the program booklet that each guest receives.
