    The fifth grade classes at the Reverend Brown School celebrated their graduation from the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program on June 1. Although all students received participation prizes, three additional gifts were presented to students whose essay about the program were considered exceptional. Third prize of a Sparta Book Store gift certificate and a bike helmet, was awarded to Megan Gallagher. Second prize went to Erin Jankowski, who received a savings bond donated by Lakeland Bank and a bicycle helmet. The first prize winner was Harrison West who received a new bicycle donated by the Montesano family, and also a helmet, which like the others was donated by Sportcraft Inc.
