Lake Hopatcong — The Jefferson Arts Gazebo Committee will present James L. Dean’s Solid Jackson Groove Cats on Friday, July 15 at 7 p.m. in the Jefferson Township Municipal Complex. This is the second of seven free concerts in the series performed in the Victorian gazebo located in the Jefferson Township Municipal Complex at 1033 Weldon Road, in Lake Hopatcong. A highly versatile group that plays a wide variety of styles ranging from 40s swing to rock standards, the Groove Cats will perform and have the audience guessing about many familiar theme songs with a twist. Uncorked, a township-based improv troupe (part of the Jefferson Community Players) will perform during intermission. There will be audience participation and lots of laughs. Attendees are asked to bring a blanket or chair for their comfort. Non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted on the grounds unless the concert is moved indoors due to weather conditions. In the event of the threat of inclement weather or such weather, the concert will be moved just up the street to the auditorium of the Jefferson Township High School, at 1010 Weldon Road.
