Holiday auction to benefit three charitable organizations

Sparta - Sparta Friends and Neighbors Club’s annual holiday auction will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 246 Woodport Rd., Sparta. The live-bidding auction will feature gift items, baskets, holiday decorations and gift certificates donated by club members and local merchants. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening. Admission and refreshments are free. Proceeds will benefit three organizations: the Project Self-Sufficiency Mammography van, which provides free mammograms in Sussex County; Tomorrows Children’s Fund, a privately-funded, non-profit organization dedicated to easing the pain and speeding the healing of children with cancer and serious blood disorders; and People Help, a Sussex County organization that assists individuals with their heating expenses.
