Vernon — A Holiday Gift Fair and Bake Sale will be held Dec. 10 at the Vernon Township Senior Citizens Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The sale will feature unique handcrafted sterling silver and gemstone jewelry by Phyllis Pfeifer (http://thejeweledpussycat.com), fine art and photography prints, pottery, candles, historical books, handbags, tote bags, and personalized items, glassware, collectibles, framed, historical photos of Vernon Township, homemade cakes and cookies and other handmade items suitable for holiday gifts. Many of the items have been handcrafted by the artisans and are one of a kind. Lois Scordato, the Society’s own “Cookie Lady,” will bake dozens of her all-butter cookies, which can be purchased individually or in festive holiday packaging to give as gifts. This is a free holiday social mixer sponsored by the Vernon Township Historical Society and will also feature holiday music and free refreshments for all. There is no admission fee. Come early for the homemade baked goods, which generally sell out quickly. A few spaces open Space is limited in the Senior Citizens Center, but the society is able to accommodate only two to three more fine arts and crafts vendors for the event on a first-come, first-served basis. Call Historical Society President Jessi Paladini at 973-764-6545 for information.
