Holiday show comes to Walpak

    WALPAK-"An Old-fashioned Holiday," a presentation of traditional, popular and theatre songs along with a holiday dinner, will be held at the Walpack Inn in the midst of the National Forest. There will be three shows, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5, at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 19. Among those scheduled to perform are radio host and tenor John Hammel and his wife, soprano Carmen Artis; mezzo-soprano Jacqueline Kroschell of Spartaand New York City; and the "Singing Grocer, Brian K. Ernstes, a N.J. State Opera tenor from Branchville. Carol Middleton, the musical director, will also be featured on the piano and as a soprano. The concerts are presented in cooperation with the National Park Service-Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area and the Walpack Historical Society. Funding for the activities of Cameo Productions, has been made available in part by New Jersey State Council on the Arts through a grant program administered by the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council. The inn is located off Route 640 at Peters Valley. Tickets for the dinner and show are $45 for adults, $25 for children. For reservations and more information, call 973-729-5524.
