Husband and wife cabaret team set library concert schedule

Port Jervis, N.Y. — Francine Evans and Joel Zelnik, a musical husband and wife team performing original cabaret-style shows, will be appearing at area libraries during September and October on the following schedule: "Broadway Magic" at 2 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Port Jervis Library (845-856-7317). "Judy Garland Tribute" at 3 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Newburgh Free Library (845-563-3600). "The Lady Sings Sinatra" at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Rivervale Library, N.J. (973-835-5044). Evans is a graduate of New York City’s cabaret rooms. She has produced more than 38 shows, prompted by her experience as a music teacher. She is also a former opera singer who appeared as orchestral soloist and recitalist. Zelnik has entertained five presidents, has been a pianist and bandleader for thousands of events, and has appeared at concert venues in New York, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Japan and Greece.
