Jewelry show will feature Taxco silver
Sparta A vintage costume jewelry show will be held on Saturday, March 13, at the Lake Mohawk Country Club, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The NJ/METRO chapter club members of Vintage Fashion Costume Jewelry (VFCJ), which is hosting the event, will exhibit their retro treasures during this semi-annual mini convention, show and sale. Everything from bold necklaces, big brooches, cocktail rings, broad bracelets and chandelier earrings will be on display and available for purchase. A special exhibit will feature Taxco silver jewelry from 1940 to 1970. The vintage jewelry of Taxco, Mexico is from the workshops of such artisans as William Spratling, Hector Aguilar, Antonio Pineda and other silversmith masters.
