STANHOPE — Johnny Winter is performing at the Stanhope House on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $40, with preferred seating tickets being offered from $85. For more information, including ticket sales, visit www.stanhopehousenj.com or call 973-347-7777. Winter has just released his latest studio album, the critically acclaimed “Roots.” The album is his first new studio CD in eight years and was produced by his guitarist Paul Nelson. It features many special guests including Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Edgar Winter, Susan Tedeschi and others. Johnny is an artist who has walked with the originators of the artform. A man who played Woodstock and jammed with the likes of Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, Willie Dixon, Albert Collins, John Lee Hooker, Janis Joplin and Steve Ray Vaughan. Constantly shifting between simple country blues in the vein of Robert Johnson, to all-out electric slide guitar blues-rock, Johnny is one of the most respected singers and guitar players in rock and a clear link between British blues-rock and American Southern rock.
