Junior Solar Sprint winners

    NEWTON-Eighth grade students from Northwest Christian School won awards at Trans Options' Junior Solar Sprints, an event sponsored by Condit's Toyota World, under the general management of Chris Dexter. In addition to taking the overall championship, the students earned a first place in technical merit and innovation and a second place in craftsmanship. The Junior Solar Sprints are part of Trans Options' Environmental Education Program, created to introduce tomorrow's drivers to the emerging fuel technologies used in today's automobiles. It assists area residents with multiple commuting options. Condit's Toyota World's support of this community event is consistent with its "Solution to Pollution" campaign. The car dealership is located just north of Newton on Rte. 206 at the junction of Rte. 94.
