Kiwanis to present Casino Night at firehouse

Sparta — The Sparta Kiwanis Club will host its second Casino Night from 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday, March 2 at the Sparta Firehouse building, located at 141 Woodport Road in Sparta. A maximum of 175 tickets are available at $55 each and will entitle the ticket-holder to an initial set of playing chips as well as food and refreshments. Ticket holders will be able to purchase additional playing chips if desired. “Events Plus,” a Vegas Style professional gaming organization, has been contracted to manage all of the gaming activity. There will be tables dedicated to Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Caribbean Stud and more. Instructions on each game will be available upon request. The doors will open to purchase chips at 6:30, gaming will commence at 7 with the final hand beginning at 10 p.m. All gaming chips will be converted to prize tickets at the end of the evening. The prize tickets will be used to determine prize winners. All prizes will be awarded after the tables close. Sandwiches, snack foods, beer, wine and soft drinks will be provided through out the evening. All participants must be 21 to enter with an ID required for admission. Sponsors for the gaming tables are being solicited. For $200, a business or person can have their name prominently advertised as a Sparta Kiwanis supporter. All profits derived from this activity will benefit the youth of Sparta via the Kiwanis Annual Scholarship Fund and Leadership Training for worthy students, food for those who are on sub poverty budgets, medical aid to families in need and much more.
