    Stockholm — Abigail Lupi of Stockholm, a recipient of President Obama’s Volunteer Service Award, is one of 12 finalists in the Afterschool Awards contest. Abigail, 11, started Caregirlz, a performing troupe that entertains patients in hospitals and nursing homes. Over 1,200 students submitted entries describing why their afterschool activity is best, and now the finalists are vying for their share in $20,000-scholarship money.
