West Milford - West Milford resident Erika Crocco and her daughter Gabriella invite all to dinner and a show. It's a show they are both in this Saturday night at Piano's Bar and Grill Tavern Theatre in Bloomfield. Be part of the show as you take part in a murder mystery theatre. Crocco has been performing since age six. She has performed in many theater groups all over the tri-state area. She recently started working with this murder mystery dinner theater and now performs most every third Saturday of each month. The company is called The Mysterical Players. During each show a person gets murdered. Each person remaining is now a suspect and must go through an interrogation. The people in the audience become detectives and ask open questions to each actor. "This is where is get's tricky," says Crocco. "You do not know what kind of questions will be asked and you have to be quick with your answers and improvisation skills. I really enjoy it because as actors, we are always trying to find ways to challenge ourselves and I like the way we never know what is going to be asked of us by audience member". This time around for the Sept. 17 show, her 12-year-old daughter, Gabriella, was given a part too. "This is the first time they have used anyone other then adults and Gabriella is thrilled to be trying this for the first time," Crocco says. "She is looking forward to the questioning of the audience to see how good she can make up things on the spot." This show is called “And the Winner is....Death." Come see if your favorite star walks home with the Toddy. The Tod Mort Film Awards celebrates the hard work of actors who make lots of money and feel the need for more recognition. This event will be hosted for the 10th time by Toddy’s favorite front man, Carson Crystal Hope who is a three-time Toddy winner and nominated for his fourth. Some of the stars scheduled to appear are Denzel Lincoln, Nicolie Kidportman, Marilyn Streep, Connery Moore, John Travoltavich, Stewart Pattinson, and many more. Hollywood legends Kumquat and Le’mon Citrus are rumored to be part of the audience to support their daughter Tangerine for her first Toddy nomination. And of course red carpet interviews from none other than Joan Lakes, who loves to pose the hard questions and might get some hard answers if she’s not careful. Joan’s twin sister Melissa Lakes may show up but probably not on time which might benefit her if anything goes wrong. Not everyone will walk out with an award and someone might not live to see the after party. Performances are at Piano's Bar & Grill, Tavern Theater, 36 Broad Street, Bloomfield. Reservations can be made by calling 973-743-7209. Performance date is Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at 7 p.m. Cost of the show is $15 and there is a $10 minimum purchase from the menu of drinks, food, or both. The show is suggested for all ages.
