Lou Dobbs hosts New Jersey State Fair Grand Prix

Augusta n The $50,000 Sussex County Grand Prix was held on Saturday, Aug. 11 at the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show/New Jersey State Fair. The event featured 21 national, international and Olympic Gold Medal horses. The host was Lou Dobbs, the star of CNN’s Lou Dobbs Tonight television show. The event provided an opportunity for the fair’s manager Dr. Howard Worts, CFE, and Alycia Randazzo, Sponsorship Manager, to recognize some of the New Jersey State Fair and Horse Show sponsors including SussexBank, High Grade Beverage, ShopRite, MillerLite, Pepsi, Sundance Vacations, Kitchen Krafts and many other local businesses and organizations. Sponsors and other NJ State Fair supporters were the guests of the Sussex County Horse Show, Kistler Builders, T.M. Brennan Contractors, ARI Insurance and Lou Dobbs Tonight, in a rink side cocktail party and dinner catered by event sponsor All About Flavor, of Maplewood. Horses jumpted in Ring 1 on a dry track. The winner of the $50,000 purse was Roxana 112, ridden by Anne Jursinski. Second was Allison under Callan Solem and third was Vancouver D’Auvry with Danielle Roano up.
