Luncheon for seniors

Franklin The senior citizens of Franklin will get a free luncheon on Oct. 8, thanks to area non-profit organizations. Instead of a summer picnic the festivities will be held inside at the Franklin Firehouse, with a theme of Octoberfest. The Franklin senior citizen of the year will be announced at this event, which runs from 1 to 4 p.m. The Franklin Fire Department, Franklin Exempt Association and The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #57 are sponsoring the event, which will include live entertainment, free food and soft drinks and dancing.
