Sussex — A poker run fundraiser on Saturday, June 25 will benefit CLAWS cat rescue and adoption shelter in Sussex. The event was held last year in memory of Tara Lauren Clegg, and this year her mother, Joan Purdue and Gary Govier are sponsoring the run in her memory by donating every dollar to CLAWS. The run will start at Tramontin Harley Davidson, at Exit 12 on Route 80 in Hope. Tramontin is supplying donuts and coffee. The ride ends at Sussex Elks 152 on County Route 565 in Sussex, where soda, water, BBQ chicken, cheeseburgers, hot dogs and salads will be available. There will also be music, a DJ, silent auction and other prizes. Cars are welcome as are non riders. Last year $600 in prizes was awarded and just under 100 attended.
