Miss Sparta-Bethany Younkers

  Age: 18   Parents: Linda and Jerry Younkers   Academic accomplishments: High Honors, Principal Scholar   Plans for the future: I will be attending Kutztown University in the Fall 2005, and will be majoring in special education. My long term plans for the future are to ultimately become a special education teacher in an elementary school and continue to help others.   Community Involvement: Pass It Along, SCEEP (Suburban Culture Enrichment Program, tutoring program for kids from Newark NJ, every Tuesday at the Sparta Presbyterian Church)   (I wasn't sure if this meant school involvement as well but here it is just in case): PDP (Peer Development Program), FBLA, DECA, Student Council, REACH, Athletic Trainer, Stat girl for boys varsity basketball   In my opinion the most important issues that are having a direct affect on Sparta are the overcrowding in schools, the continuous building of neighborhoods which is ruining forest land, and taxes.
