Musicians visit Vernon school

VERNON-Musicians from the Chamber Music at Great Gorge concert series visited third graders at Rolling Hills school on April 13. Pianist Gail Niwa and oboist Gerard Reuter demonstrated their technique for students and teachers, Niwa performing "Carnival of the Animals" as she did for the film "Fantasia 2000" and Reuter playing a sustained note and breathing at the same time. The students were offered free admission to the next CMGG concert, on Friday, June 24, at St. Francis de Sales Church. For more information, call 973-827-3186.
