BYRAM-When Native American Little Hawk dances and tells stories to audiences, his goal is to make it both an educational and entertaining experience. "My goal is to inform the general public on Native Americans in a fun way and to correct the inaccuracies of what Hollywood has portrayed about Native Americans," he said. Little Hawk, a Mohawk Indian registered with the Kahnawake reservation, frequently dances at schools, camps, resorts and a few times a year at Wild West City in Byram Township. His next appearance at the tourist destination is Sept. 24-25. "I encourage audience participation," said Little Hawk, who performs an array of dances including an 18-hoop, hoop dance in his finale. Little Hawk's performance is included in the all-day admission fee at Wild West City. He is also available for questions before and after any of his performances throughout the day.
