New date for art show

Originally scheduled for Aug. 28, the Highland Lakes Community will now hold its 52nd annual art show on Monday, Sept. 5. Hurricane Irene caused the change of date. The show will be held at the Highland Lakes Clubhouse, 2240 Lakeside Drive West at Breakneck Road in Highland Lakes. It features artwork by both amateur and professional Highland Lakes artists and opens to the public at 1:30. Awards are announced at 3:30. Admission is free and the site is wheelchair accessible.
