New play reading series at Olde Village Bookseller

    Lafayette — Tri-State Actors Theater takes its New Plays Reading Series to the Olde Village Bookseller in Lagayette Village on Saturday, June 18, beginning at 8 p.m., with a reading of a new play, “The Girl from Tennessee” by Owen Dunne. Dunne was born in Dublin, Ireland. He received a B.A. in Russian Language and Literature from San Francisco State University. “The Girl from Tennessee,” a mystery/drama, is set in Dublin. The reading will be directed by Tri-State’s artistic director, Paul Meacham. It will be performed by professional actors: Brian Milli as Jack Quigley, Doug Taurel as Vinnie Higgins, Jaqueline Holloway as Lonnie Taylor, Patricia Durante as Cynthia Quigley, and Paul Meacham as Detective Casey. A reception and talk-back with the director and actors will follow the reading. Admission is by donation.
