HAMBURG-Nine Mile Skid returns to Frank's Castle Grille in Hamburg, on June 25, performing two sets of Grateful Dead music to benefit the Gingerbread Castle Restoration Fund. The Gingerbread Castle, the only structure of its kind in the United States, was constructed in 1930 by F. H. Bennett in conjunction with famous set designer and artist Joe Urban. Recently, Hampton Inn Hotels donated $25,000 to the fund from their Save A Landmark Program, to help get the once fairy tale castle up and running again. Donations to the fund can be made through www.thegingerbreadcastle.com. Nine Mile Skid, combining strong musicianship with solid vocal harmonies, and a love of the Grateful Dead, are propelled by their own energy and the enthusiasm of fans. Doors open at 8 p.m. for adults 21 and over with identification, and an $8 cover charge. Call Cheryl Fleishman 973-702-0341.
