NJ Conservatory presents Beethoven fest
Sparta — New Jersey Conservatory (www.njconservatory.com) celebrates 30 years of spring concerts by presenting an All Beethoven Festival on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 4 pm at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 246 Woodport Rd., Sparta. Program will include: Symphony No. 7 Opus 92 featuring complete orchestra; Mass in C Opus 86 sung by our Symphonic Chorus; and Beethoven's 'Meeresstille und Gluliche Fahrt Opus 112 (Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage) - both accompanied by our orchestra. Edwin Foster, conductor, Ford Foster, associate conductor, and Holly Horn, concertmaster. Soloists: Christine Nevill, soprano, Andrea Birch, mezzo-soprano, Steven Zimmerman, tenor, Michael Alworth, bass. Tickets: Premium $40 (student $28), Preferred $35 (student $24.50) and General $30 (student $21).

For 30 years NJ Conservatory has offered opportunities to 'make' music vocally and instrumentally throughout northern New Jersey. The Conservatory offers adult (Symphonic Chorus and Chamber Choir) and youth (2 choruses grades 3-5 and grades 6-11); a preparatory division offering private lessons in voice, piano. organ, brass and wind instruments. For those who prefer listening to fine music, the Conservatory's adult and youth choruses present concerts, with orchestra, throughout the year in Morris and Sussex counties.
