Ringwood — The New Jersey Botanical Garden will be hosting a Summer Craft Fair on Saturday, Aug. 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's tons of fun for the whole family! There will be many booths with beautiful crafts, including jewelry, pottery, sculpture, photography, art, kids stuff, and all kinds of unusual goodies. The crafters from The Craftique have a reputation for excellence and it shows in their many fine products (www.thecraftique.com). Lots of good food and drink will be available, too. After you've explored the craft fair, take a wander in the Botanical Garden and enjoy the many sunny faces of summer. Whether you prefer a stroll in the colorful formally-planted gardens or a leisurely walk in the shady woodlands, you will find just the thing. On Sunday, Aug. 14, NJBG invites you to meet the Botanical Garden's flying jewels on a Butterfly Walk at the New Jersey State Botanical Garden at 10 a.m. August is a great time to watch butterflies. The Bergen County Audubon Society will lead this easy walk of the Botanical Garden and fields to look for and identify the butterflies of NJBG. Wear comfortable shoes and meet at the Carriage House Visitor Center. Rain cancels the outing. This program is free, but there is a $5 per car State Park parking fee. Admission is free to the craft fair, the Butterfly Walk and the Botanical Garden itself. There is a $5-per-car State Park parking fee. The New Jersey State Botanical Garden at Skylands is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day of the year. NJBG/Skylands is located on Morris Road in Ringwood, New Jersey.
