Note in a Coat drive ends Nov. 5

Sussex County - First Hope and Pass It Along are once again teaming up to sponsor the “Note in a Coat Drive.” At first glance, the drive may seem like an ordinary coat drive, but there is a twist. With every coat donated, a personalized note will be placed in the pockets of the coat to be given to people in need. The note will have a holiday, seasonal, or joyful message written on it, aimed at brightening someone’s day. First Hope and Pass It Along are looking to warm bodies and hearts this holiday season with the Note in a Coat Drive. New and “gently used” coats will be collected at all First Hope locations, in Hope, Blairstown, Hackettstown, Great Meadows, and Sparta. The drive is taking place until Nov. 5. Volunteers are needed to help clean and sort the coats, as well as to make the notes and fill the pockets with them.
