Sparta — Patrick Fitzsimmons will be performing at Greene’s Beans Café in Sparta on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 7:30 p.m. Fitzsimmons will be accompanied by cellist, Loni Bach. He will be showcasing songs from his next CD as well as performing songs from his earlier works. Originally from Sparta, Fitzsimmons has been called “one of the most captivating songwriters out there today” by Relix Magazine, and Vermont Public Radio said “This man can really sing. His songs range from pop/folk anthems to masterful love ballads.” Fitzsimmons was signed to RCA Records with the folk-rock band “From Good Homes” in the late 1990’s. After the band’s break-up, he started a solo career and has released four CDs on his own Itz Fitz Music label. Pass It Along, a Sparta-based community organization, will be making a holiday food collection at the show and those attending are asked to bring a non-perishable food item. Advance tickets can be purchased online for $12 at www.patrickfitzsimmons.net or by visiting Greene’s Beans Café at 31 Theatre Center in Sparta. Tickets are $15 at the door.
