Planners host ‘Shape Up Your Financial Fitness'

Sparta - Sparta and Sussex County residents are invited to “Shape Up Your Financial Fitness,” a free financial planning workshop to be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Lafayette House restaurant at Old Lafayette Village between Rte 94 and Rte. 15 in Lafayette. Refreshments and door prizes will be offered. Guest speakers include Nicholas Nicolette, CFP®, of Sterling Financial Group in Sparta and member of the national board of the Financial Planning Association; Barbara O’Neill, CFP®, specialist in financial resource management, of Rutgers Cooperative Research and Extension; Richard I. Clark, Esq., estate planning attorney, and partner of Laddey, Clark & Ryan, LLP, in Sparta; and Kathryn Switzer, manager of the Newton Social Security office. The four experts will be available for interactive discussions with attendees on strategies for improving financial security in retirement, steps for avoiding financial disasters, evaluating wills, trusts and healthcare proxies, and understanding Social Security benefits in retirement.
