Plant maintenance class offered

NEWTON Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Sussex County will host a gardening program entitled Basics of Perennial Plant Maintenance on Saturday June 4. at 10 a.m. The speaker will be Brian Oleksak, Horticultural Program associate for Rutgers Cooperative Extension. The program will focus on site preparation, planting, pruning and seasonal maintenance activities for herbaceous perennials. The program is free and seating is limited to thirty attendees. The class will be held at the Extension office, 129 Morris Turnpike in Newton (directly behind the Sussex County Main Library).
