Poetry focuses on Sept. 11

| 15 Feb 2012 | 09:10

The Six Centuries Club and Sensations Magazine will host "September 11th in Poetry" on the front porch of Hainesville General Store, 283 Route 206 South, on Sunday Sept. 11 from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. Publisher David Messineo was an eyewitness to the Twin Tower attacks 10 years ago, and he and other poets published in award-winning Sussex County-based Sensations Magazine will share their memories of that day, and published poems inspired by the attacks and their aftermath, in a half-hour feature program. A 15-minute open mic of poetry on that theme will follow for others to share one brief poem on the subject. The event is free and open to the general public; purchase of an item, as thanks for use of the venue, would be welcomed. This will be one of the final four events of The Six Centuries Club during 2011, before it closes after a successful five-year run in Sussex County.
