Pope John Blue & Gold Club to host comedy night

Ready for an amazing night out filled with laughter, great food and fantastic prizes? The Pope John Blue & Gold Club offers self-proclaimed “Mother of All Comedians” Robin Fox as the headliner for its 2019 Beefsteak Dinner, Comedy Show and Tricky Tray being held 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16 at Pope John XXIII Regional High School, 28 Andover Road, Sparta.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing an award-winning comedian to our open-to-the-public fundraiser,” said Event Chair Taryn Peppo. “Robin’s hilarious act, combined with the mouth-watering beefsteak dinner from top New Jersey caterer The Brownstone, and the fun and excitement of the tricky tray, make this year’s event a fantastic night out at an unbeatable price."

Ten years ago, Robin Fox moved her comedy act from the school bus stop to the stage where she puts a unique spin on her 27-year marriage, kids, her aging parents, and suburban life.Winner of the 2010 Gilda’s Club Laugh-Off, Philadelphia’s Funniest -1st runner up, Bud Lights Ladies of Laughter, at the finals for The Laugh-Off at Caroline’s, and Baltimore’s funniest, she can be heard on rotation on XM and Sirius Satellite Radio.

The evening kicks off with a Brownstone-catered beefsteak dinner with unlimited wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages, followed by Fox’s comedy act, then the tricky tray drawings.

Tickets cost $75./adult. (Attendees must be at least 21-years old.) Checks and credit cards accepted. This event benefits the Pope John Blue & Gold Club, an organization of parent volunteers who raise funds that go towards Spirit Awards, scholarships, transportation costs, uniforms, costumes and more for athletic teams, robotics teams, the Pope John Players, and many more student clubs and teams.Located at 28 Andover Road in Sparta, New Jersey, Pope John XXIII Regional High School is an 8th grade - 12th grade institution committed to the Catholic tradition of education.
