Pups on parade

Lafayette — Doggies in costume were the order of the day as The Village Barkery Grooming Salon in Lafayette Village held a Strut your Mutt costume contest parade Saturday. The event had been cancelled due to snow the previous weekend, but beautiful weather prevailed. The dogs dunked for hot dogs, participated in ball and spoon races, competed in sit and down repetitions, strutted their costumes through the shopping village and received goodie bags of Christmas ornaments, doggie biscuits and more.
