Ringwood Garden Club helps the community with two donations
Ringwood The Ringwood Garden Club made two donations to local organizations recently, according to club president Pam Tokarczuk, donations that will help beautify the area and teach others how to garden. Garden club member Sonja Vieth presented a check to Andrea Cahoon, director of the Ringwood Public Library and also a check for a library edition of “What’s Wrong with My Plant and How Do I Fix It.” The donation was to honor Mary Leuze, a Ringwood Garden Club member who recently passed away. The club also sent a check to the Community Presbyterian Church for Girl Scout Troop #369 to help them develop a community garden on church property. Tokarczuk commended her fellow garden club members, Vieth and Pam Kern, for their involvement in helping the children at Peter Cooper and Robert Erskine Schools in planting the Ramapough Gardens recently established at both schools. Renate Gudat received a special award for her implementation and dedication in bringing the club’s horticulture therapy programs to seniors in Lakeland Health Care Center and Van Dyk Assisted Living.
