Admission to the museum is a suggested $12 for adults and $7 for students and senior citizens and includes the main building and The Cloisters. Admission is free to members and children under twelve with an adult. To help cover the cost of special exhibitions, for which there is no additional charge or special ticketing, the Met asks that visitors pay the full suggested amount. The bus will depart at 9 a.m. from the upper level parking lot of E-building on the SCCC campus and return to the same location at approximately 5 p.m. Purchased bus tickets are non-refundable. The museum has a special exhibit featuring its newly-acquired collection of more than 100 works from The Pierre and Maria-Gaetana Matisse Foundation. Pierre Matisse (1900n1989), a prominent art dealer in New York, was the younger son of the French painter, Henri Matisse (1869n1954). Pierre and Maria-Gaetana von Spreti (1943n2001) were married in 1974, and in 1995 M. Matisse established the foundation in their names to implement her own and her late husband's philanthropic interests. For more information, call Joanna Reed at 973-300-2343.
