See 'Heidi' on Jeff stage

    A Victorian tea is also offered Jefferson Township — The Jefferson Community Players will offer a holiday production of "Heidi" on Dec. 10 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Jefferson Senior Center, 54 Schoolhouse Road. Tickets for all performances are $5 per person. From 1 to 2 p.m. on Dec. 10 at the Senior Center the Players will host a Victorian Tea Service. A selection of teas and baked goods will be served for a cost of $5 per person. The tea service will end at 2 p.m., before the performance of "Heidi." Tea patrons who want to see the 2 p.m. show must purchase show tickets separately. As seating for the tea service is very limited, reservations are required. Seats for the tea can be reserved by calling 973-663-3340 or e-mailing jcp2009@verizon.net no later than Dec. 8. "Heidi" is a 45-minute play by Jean Simonson based on the classic book by Johanna Spyri about the life of a young girl who lives in the Alps with her grandfather. Simonson directs the cast, whose members include: Lou Cerny, Krysia Dour, Cy Friedman, Susan Hatch, Jessica Holster, Lynda Kolvik and Dina Nicholas.
