Special yoga workshop coming up

SPARTA — A group of local yoga enthusiasts is bringing acclaimed instructor Simon Parks to Sparta for a special workshop at Willow Tree Dance Academy on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 9:30 a.m. Yoga Journal recently called Parks “one of the most influential and gifted of the next generation of yoga teachers”. Parks lives in Philadelphia and has been trained and influenced by renowned master teachers Shiva Rea, Joan White and Dharma Mitra. Parks is known for his contagious energy and creative style and travels the world teaching Prana Flow Yoga, the Vinyasa Flow style of Shiva Rea. This two-hour workshop will also feature the music of DJ Hyfi who accompanies Park blending the art of sound with movement. Tickets are $35 pre-paid and $45 at the door.
