Summer lessons offered

    BYRAM — Byram Parks and Recreation is offering youth and adult tennis lessons the weeks of June 27 through July 8. Classes run four days a week, June 27-July 1 and July 5-8 with a rain date of July 1. Children ages 7-17 have classes scheduled in the mornings with adult classes at 6 p.m. All classes are held at CO Johnson Park on Roseville Road in Byram. Lessons cost $60 for Byram residents, $70 for non-Byram residents, for 8 classes. Excessive rain may alter the schedule. For additional information call 973-347-250 ext. 160. Byram Parks and Recreation is also offering swim lessons for children ages 6 months through 14 years of age. All lessons are held in the Panther Lake Camping Resort Pool. Moms and/or Dads can join their 6 month-3 year old children in the pool and learn water adjustment, floating, and how to propel themselves through the water. Half hour classes are held in the mornings, for one week periods of time, Monday through Friday. Classes begin the week of June 27, and then continue each week through August 5, with no lessons on the week of July 4. The cost for Byram residents is $25 per week, or $35 for non-Byram residents.
